How to let someone else name the videos and photos
Give the host, say, permission to edit titles and captions, and nothing else.
You need to be signed in to do this.

Open your event's edit page and scroll to Who can edit titles and captions.

Choose the person from the list and click Let them edit.
Tip: Only people who can already see the event are listed. Share it with them first if they're missing.

They can now change the event's title and description, each mini clip's title and description, and the photo captions. Nothing else.
Tip: Every change shows in the event's History.

Click Remove next to their name to stop them editing.
